An awareness and educational lecture on the challenges and opportunities for date production

The Hajar Agricultural Development Cooperative Society in Al-Ahsa held an awareness and educational lecture titled "Challenges and Opportunities for Date Production" on Saturday, January 20, 2024, attended by a number of agricultural engineers and local farmers. The lecture addressed the main challenges facing palm farmers, such as agricultural pests, high production costs, and the lack of technical personnel. It also highlighted the available opportunities for marketing dates locally and internationally, and the importance of implementing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to improve product quality and achieve better economic returns. The lecture concluded with an open discussion between attendees and agricultural experts to answer questions and exchange views on ways to develop the palm sector.
